Mireille Fauchon was born in London where she still lives and works. Graduating from Camberwell College of Arts in 2005, and then from the Royal College of Art in 2008, Mireille employs a wide approach to illustration, working to commission as well as producing self-initiated, research-based projects. She has produced work for Four Corners Books, V & A Friday Late, Ambit Magazine, The Idler and World of Interiors Magazine.
Mireille Fauchon has taught at institutes across the country and is currently a Lecturer in Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts.

Working directly with more than 250,000 children, young people and their carers each year, we run over 600 services which tackle abuse, neglect, help young carers and provide fostering and adoption services.

El 'megacrucero' de lujo Celebrity Eclipse arribó hoy miércoles día 26 de mayo de 2010, en viaje inaugural al Puerto de La Luz y de Las Palmas con 2.852 pasajeros y 1.271 tripulantes; un buque que pertenece a la naviera norteamericana Celebrity Cruises, la gama alta del grupo Royal Caribbean Internacional, y es la primera vez que uno de sus buques hace escala en el puerto de Las Palmas.

En un comunicado, la Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas explicó que el crucero de lujo destaca en su construcción por el bajo consumo de combustible, que tiene gracias a sus delgados contornos. El Celebrity Eclipse tiene 314,80 metros de eslora y cuenta con 17 cubiertas y supone una inversión de 750 millones de dólares.

Por su parte, la Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas le hará entrega de una metopa al capitán del Celebrity Eclipse a las 11.15 horas, como es tradicional en los viajes inaugurales. CELEBRITY ECLIPSE

El Celebrity Eclipse es el tercero y gemelo de una serie en construcción denominada Solstice class, formada por cuatro 'megacruceros' que se han ido entregando: Celebrity Solstice en el 2008, Celebrity Equinox, en el 2009 y el Celebrity Eclipse en 2010. El último que se espera será para el otoño del 2011, el Celebrity Silhouette.

Como el Celebrity Eclipse se ha sido construido en Alemania, su primera temporada será de base en Europa, para incorporarse en invierno al mercado norteamericano. Ha iniciado su actividad con cortos cruceros de cuatro noches desde Inglaterra al sur de Irlanda, para empezar a mediados de mayo sus primeros grandes viajes con el producto 'Once noches en Canarias' (Southampton, Funchal, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Lisboa, Vigo, Southampton), que se prolongará hasta junio próximo.

El producto de Canarias lo combinará en mayo, junio y julio con cruceros Escandinavos+Rusia de 14 días. Posteriormente en julio, agosto, septiembre y octubre, operará principalmente en el Mediterráneo oriental. Volverá a Canarias en octubre, antes de cruzar el Atlántico para dirigirse a su base de invierno en Florida y el Caribe.

Later tonight 30 stunning finalists from across regional Australia will compete at the National Final in the 2011 Woman’s Day Miss Country Girl Australia to be held on Sydney Harbour on board the deluxe cruise ship, Bella Vista.

Woman’s Day and Channel Nine’s The Today Show have extended their support for young country women seeking opportunities in the modelling and fashion industry with over 2000 aspiring young models competing in a regional roadshow. The 30 finalists have been selected and will attend this prestigious event with the hope to be transformed from country girl to supermodel and be signed with Scoop Management (a subsidiary of CHIC Management). The winner will also appear on Channel Nine’s The Today Show the following morning and appear in a four-page fashion spread in Woman’s Day.

The cocktail style event will be hosted by Australia’s Next Top Model mentor, Josh Flinn who will present the fresh faces of the 2012 Australian modelling industry to over 300 friends, celebrities and media. The event will start with a fantastic Forever New fashion parade vocally complimented by internationally signed McKenzie Comer. Regional models will then feature in the swimwear parade sponsored by Seafolly Australia followed by a parade in evening gowns.

Between the first 50 lap race and the feature Grand National race they had this short "celebrity race" with local radio and T.V. news people, and Paula Nelson (Willie's daughter), driving stock car buckets.. Paula also sung the national anthem before the feature race (not very well though, d'oh).

More than 300 glitter-covered Columbus yelpers came out to Yelp's Glam Jam at COSI to sample an awing spread of food from 11 local food vendors and imbibe with the help of three booze sponsors. Upon arrival, many made pit stops at the two glam stations offering mini services while others made a b line to the two photobooths that captured celebrity-style ring lights (a certain style of portrait) and group shots of everyone wearing their glitziest garb. Easily the true star of the party, Columbus's most popular drag queen, Nina West, performed two numbers complete with backup dancers. More than 0 and dozens of much-needed items were donated to charity partner, Dress for Success Columbus, making Yelp Columbus's first open party a drop-dead, five-star night to remember.

Alana Lake was born in Britain and is the artist, curator and founder of Our Dark Chamber. Alana graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts, London in 2009. She has had a number of international exhibitions, with work being shown in London, Milan, Turin, Helsinki and Zurich.
Alana Lake works predominately with photography and video, but extends into sculpture, text and installation and has been described by writer and theorist David Evans as being ‘after Tillmans’.

14. A Frugal Meal

Charlie Billingham studied Fine Art and History of Art in Edinburgh and then continued his studies in Fine Art at the Royal Academy Schools. His work involves painting and printmaking, as well as making installations which use these disciplines and combine them with objects. Much of his recent work has used sections of late eighteenth and early nineteenth-century etchings by James Gillray and George Cruikshank. Charlie’s work has been exhibited and collected both nationally and internationally.

Stella Vine’s paintings are exuberant, funny and irreverent. She is notorious for her portraits of Kate Moss and disturbing images of Princess Diana and the heroin victim Rachel Whitear, but she also paints her mother and her son from photographs and memory. Stella Vine: paintings is the first opportunity to see a major exhibition of her work. Many rarely seen paintings will be on display. New work, made especially for the exhibition, includes a series of paintings of Princess Diana.

Born in 1969 in Northumberland, Stella Vine studied painting part-time at Hampstead School of Art in 1999. Her work has been included in solo and group exhibitions in the UK and internationally, notably ‘New Blood’ at the Saatchi Gallery in 2004 when she first came to public attention. Stella Vine currently lives and works in London.

A limited edition, illustrated hardback book has been specially created by the artist with designers FUEL. Essay by Germaine Greer.
