Yes this is the man made internationally famous by that silly Soundgarden song. Those of us from the NW, however, have marvelled at the actual superhuman percussive abilities of the real man for decades (and he still looks damn young, but then his exercise regiment is rather obvious).
This was taken 6/25/2006 at Eyes & Ears Thunderegg, the last night of the 12th Annual Olympia Experimental Music Festival. Artis performed in a duo with Portland guitarist Doug Theriault who is frequently seen as one half of the experimental group Office Products.
