by Claire Jackson

Claire Jackson is from South Yorkshire, and is a Loughborough University graduate of Fine Art. She has captured gallery visitors’ imaginations and won awards with her unique sculptures and art style.
Claire creates organic and biomorphic abstract works, inspired by science and nature, using a low temperature reactive smart plastic (Polycaprolactone), which she crafts into intricate, flowing, surreal forms.
Her works have a recognisable, signature style, and are informed by her intuition for hand crafting aesthetic forms. The medium’s beneficial and unusual properties allow Claire to create a range of art pieces that give the illusion of fragility and delicacy.

12. Untitled
by Cassie Howard

Cassie Howard makes paintings that examine the interaction of people within society. She is interested in the role the artist has in directing the viewer.
Cassie’s subjects are people. The figures are sometimes paired with separate paintings of public objects such as park benches, sheds, and rows of trees. The people and objects are always presented within a white space devoid of any surrounding context. The viewers bring their own history to imagine what is missing.
Cassie’s exhibitions include ‘Salon’ Eleven, London in 2011 and 2013, and a solo show, ‘Group Portrait’ at The Third Space, Belfast in 2012.

He sings and performs as ‘Vessel’ for the vaudevillian rock band David Devant and His Spirit Wife, as well as Mr. Solo. One of Mikey’s paintings, ‘Dopamine – Molecule of Intuition’, bubbled brightly in a recent John Moore’s show at Liverpool’s Walker Art Gallery. He describes his own work as ‘tragicomic’. 8. Anticipation of a Thousand Moments
by Anna Barlow

Anna Barlow is fascinated by the culture of celebrational food and of how food tells a story of the people it’s for and place it’s in. A full stand of melting ice creams could suggest a hot day or treats abandoned for some mysterious reason.
Anna’s work is the result of long research into techniques, texture and glaze. Her methods are a combination of hand-building, slip-casting and press moulding and she uses both porcelain and earthenware. The techniques create a ‘visual edibility’ to the work; it is up to the imagination of the viewers to decide how it will taste…
