From "Personal Choice, a selection of favourite recipes contributed by leading celebrities". That's celebrities, 1970s style, a time before any horrible volgar snivelling little reality-tv wannabe was considered a celebrity. These people were PROPER celebrities - including Rolf Harris, The Right Reverend Lord Soper, Patrick McNee, and the woman who started Britain's first marriage agency. And Barbara Cartland. Definitely worth the £1.79 I paid for it at the Salvation Army shop.

So here's the autographed photo of Billy Klippert. He was one of the top 10 finalists for the Canadian Idol TV show (last season). He didn't win, but still managed to get a record label for his distinctive rock 'n roll style singing.

A group of TPMG folks stopped by the small town of Fergus and after a fun round of bowling, we ate at a nearby family restaurant.

It was surreal as our group of 7 was the only table in the restaurant at one point. Then, all of a sudden, this "celebrity" guy comes trotting in with his entourage. He sat down next to our table so we were able to chat with him for a bit.

We still don't know up to this day why he walked into that small little restaurant in a tiny town of Fergus at that place and time.

I had him sign it, "Smaky" since that was my nickname as I was bowling.

More than 300 glitter-covered Columbus yelpers came out to Yelp's Glam Jam at COSI to sample an awing spread of food from 11 local food vendors and imbibe with the help of three booze sponsors. Upon arrival, many made pit stops at the two glam stations offering mini services while others made a b line to the two photobooths that captured celebrity-style ring lights (a certain style of portrait) and group shots of everyone wearing their glitziest garb. Easily the true star of the party, Columbus's most popular drag queen, Nina West, performed two numbers complete with backup dancers. More than 0 and dozens of much-needed items were donated to charity partner, Dress for Success Columbus, making Yelp Columbus's first open party a drop-dead, five-star night to remember.

Duncan, BC native Ali Liebert is quickly becoming one of Canada’s rising stars with the recent completions of four feature films, Foxfire, Afghan Luke, Sisters & Brothers and In the Hive. As well, she portrays “Betty McRae”, one of the lead characters on the series Bomb Girls.

After high school, Ali studied musical theatre at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria before moving to Vancouver to pursue acting professionally. It wasn’t long before Ali snagged the role she is perhaps best known for: sassy “Nikki Bolton” on the popular CBS horror/drama TV series, Harper’s Island. With over 45 credits to her name, television audiences may also recognize her from guest appearances on Hellcats, Human Target, Fringe, Dead Like Me, The L Word, The 4400, Whistler, Fallen, Psych and recurring roles on Intelligence, Young Blades, Killer Instinct and Kyle XY.

Ali splits her time between Vancouver, Toronto & Los Angeles. Her favourite pastimes include traveling, singing along to musical theatre soundtracks and attempting to cook. Currently, she is studying at the Groundlings in Los Angeles and perfecting her Liza Minnelli impression.

Toronto-based designer Tomoko Kitai is a graduate of the International Academy of design (where she received the best collection design award in 1998), and a former student of Parsons, The New School for Design, in New York.

Tomoko is inspired by the fashion instincts of her native Japan. Her label, MOMO, offers a unique and individual style; fashion-forward women’s wear with a definitive Japanese flair. Inspired by the Kimono patterns of her homeland, and the rising sun, Momo is available across North America. Playful pinks trimmed with woven black ribbon, sweet floral prints, and tweeds covered in white lace take Tomoko’s designs to another level.

Tomoko’s natural eye for line and style lead her to her new position as fashion editor at VietSun magazine. When you meet her, you don’t have to ask, “what are you wearing?” It’s guaranteed Tomoko will be in MOMO.

After high school, Ali studied musical theatre at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria before moving to Vancouver to pursue acting professionally. It wasn’t long before Ali snagged the role she is perhaps best known for: sassy “Nikki Bolton” on the popular CBS horror/drama TV series, Harper’s Island. With over 45 credits to her name, television audiences may also recognize her from guest appearances on Hellcats, Human Target, Fringe, Dead Like Me, The L Word, The 4400, Whistler, Fallen, Psych and recurring roles on Intelligence, Young Blades, Killer Instinct and Kyle XY.

Ali splits her time between Vancouver, Toronto & Los Angeles. Her favourite pastimes include traveling, singing along to musical theatre soundtracks and attempting to cook. Currently, she is studying at the Groundlings in Los Angeles and perfecting her Liza Minnelli impression.

Toronto-based designer Tomoko Kitai is a graduate of the International Academy of design (where she received the best collection design award in 1998), and a former student of Parsons, The New School for Design, in New York.

Tomoko is inspired by the fashion instincts of her native Japan. Her label, MOMO, offers a unique and individual style; fashion-forward women’s wear with a definitive Japanese flair. Inspired by the Kimono patterns of her homeland, and the rising sun, Momo is available across North America. Playful pinks trimmed with woven black ribbon, sweet floral prints, and tweeds covered in white lace take Tomoko’s designs to another level.

Tomoko’s natural eye for line and style lead her to her new position as fashion editor at VietSun magazine. When you meet her, you don’t have to ask, “what are you wearing?” It’s guaranteed Tomoko will be in MOMO.
